Councillor Maureen Cassidy is currently serving her first term as London City Councillor for Ward 5. Before her election in 2014, Maureen represented her community, Old Stoneybrook for several years both as President of the community association and as a member of the Masonville Community Council. Maureen currently sits on Council’s Community and Protective Services Committee as well as the Planning and Environment Committee. She sits on several local boards and commissions and was a Non-Board standing committee member of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities. Maureen has been honoured to serve as Co-Chair of the Mayor’s Advisory Panel on Poverty. The Panel has worked extensively with the community and with local stakeholders to develop a comprehensive set of recommendations to address poverty in London Ontario. Maureen is actively engaged and committed to working with the community to make London a better place for all.
