Connie McCutcheon is the Open Data Project lead for the Niagara Region. In this role, she collaborates with several working groups related to open data such as the Public Sector Open Data (PSOD) workgroup with her municipal and provincial peers. Connie is also a Vice President with MISA Ontario (Municipal Information Systems Association) and participates on the MISA Canada Open Data Special Interest Group (SIG).
Connie holds a degree in Urban Geography from the University of Western Ontario as well as a certificate from Brock University in Urban and Environmental Studies. She is passionate about citizen engagement and the opportunity open government provides for new innovations and insights.
Her passion for citizen engagement and Open Data has been demonstrated to a variety of audiences during speaking engagements at numerous conferences and workshops throughout the province.
